Fine Art Portraits Tonbridge
Posted on 4 Aug, 2020 by Sarah Hart
Beautiful Georgie-May visited my Tonbridge photography studio this summer to create some fine art portraits.
Many photographers use the term “fine art photography” to describe their style of work. I wouldn’t describe my usual style of photography in this way as my aim for most sessions provides clients with images representing their families just as they are in that moment in time. Fine art portraits by definition are creative pieces of art determined by the vision of an artist, whether that be a painter, sculptor or photographer. Fine art photography is art for art’s sake.
I’ve known Georgie-May for a few years now as she attends the same dance school as my own children. I invited her along as dancers tend to take direction so well and Georgie-May didn’t disappoint. As well as bringing along a selection of some of the outfits she wears when competing in dance festivals, she also brought her talented mum who is brilliant at hair (something I cannot lay claim to myself!). Thank you Emily!
Here’s a selection of some of the fine art portraits taken from the session.
I’ve already had several comments on social media about the gorgeous pale blue dress that Georgie-May wore for some of the above shots. It’s one of two beautiful dresses I bought from Dollcake to photograph my daughter in a few years ago (https://sarahhartphotography.com/bluebells-and-blossom-a-day-out-with-my-daughter-kent-baby-photographer/)
If you’d like to find out about a Fine Art Portrait session for your own child, please do get in touch. I’d love to help produce a stunning piece of wall art for your home.
And please share below in the comments which is your favourite image!
