Fine Art Portraits Tonbridge
Posted on 4 Aug, 2020 by Sarah Hart
Beautiful Georgie-May visited my Tonbridge photography studio this summer to create some fine art portraits.
Many photographers use the term “fine art photography” to describe their style of work. I wouldn’t describe my usual style of photography in this way as my aim for most sessions provides clients with images representing their families just as they are in that moment in time. Fine art portraits by definition are creative pieces of art determined by the vision of an artist, whether that be a painter, sculptor or photographer. Fine art photography is art for art’s sake.
I’ve known Georgie-May for a few years now as she attends the same dance school as my own children. I invited her along as dancers tend to take direction so well and Georgie-May didn’t disappoint. Georgie-May brought along a selection of some of the outfits she wears when competing in dance festivals. Plus she also brought her talented mum who is brilliant at hair (something I cannot lay claim to myself!). Thank you Emily!
Here’s a selection of some of the fine art portraits taken from the session.
I’ve already had several comments on social media about the gorgeous pale blue dress that Georgie-May wore. It’s one of two beautiful dresses I bought from Dollcake. My daughter wore the dresses in the bluebells and blossom a few years ago (https://sarahhartphotography.com/bluebells-and-blossom-a-day-out-with-my-daughter-kent-baby-photographer/)
If you’d like to find out about a Fine Art Portrait session for your own child, do get in touch. I’d love to help produce a stunning piece of wall art for your home.
And please share below in the comments which is your favourite image!

It’s surprising what a difference changing her hair style makes. My favourite is the one with the red hat x
Yes, she suits that style of hat! And yes the hair style really impacts on the look and feel of the image (along with the different lighting) x
Just stunning
Thank you Karen! Will have to get Kitty in to the studio with Belle when you’re next back over here xxx
