Lavender Family Photoshoots
Yay! The sunshine has finally arrived and we may just be able to put away our winter clothes?! It’s time to get your summer dresses, shorts and t-shorts and celebrate summer and the easing of lockdown restrictions with a family photography session! And what better location than our beautiful Kent Castle Farm Lavender fields?! I’m so thrilled to be helping raise funds for Baby Umbrella – a charity that provides parenting support for all families in the West Kent area – by donating 6 lavender family photography sessions for Baby Umbrella to raffle off to 6 lucky families!
Each mini photography session will last 30 minutes and includes 1 digital image jpeg from your session. Approximately a week after the session, you will receive a small online gallery of 10-12 beautifully edited images to choose from. Further purchases can be made as follows:
Digital Images:
- Additional digital images – £25 per image
- Five digital images – £100
- Ten digital images – £180
Prints:
- 10×8” print – £20
- 7×5” print – £15
The Baby Umbrella charity will receive 10% of any purchases made from the sessions.
How to enter the draw
The prizes to the raffle include six photoshoots plus there’s also five family picnic tickets to the lavender fields. Tickets are just £2 each with the raffle being drawn at 12pm on Friday 18th June 2021. So all you need to do is purchase your raffle tickets here: Lavender Raffle Tickets
What to wear
Summer clothing such as dresses, t-shirts or short sleeve shirts and shorts will all look perfect in the lavender blooms. Please be aware, that there will be bees present and so for younger children it may be best to make sure you have a cardigan to cover their arms if they are at all unsure about being the bees being around them.
A colour palette of whites, greys, pale blues, lemons and pale pink clothing will all look lovely against the lavender flowers. Whilst your outfits as a family do not need to match, I do always advise that you keep to wearing colours that work together and complement each other.
The importance of existing in family images in your home
As mums, we can always come up with a million excuses to shy away from being in photos with our children. But did you know that you actually improve your child’s sense of self worth when you hang your family portraits on the wall? If mummies make a conscious effort to exist in your family portraits, they are teaching their children self worth. If your children see you value yourself enough to be in photos, they are far more likely to grow up valuing themselves. For more on this topic, check out another of my blogs on this to convince you to step in to the photos with your children: https://sarahhartphotography.com/exist-in-photos-a-portrait-with-mum/
So what are you waiting for?! Get entering and good luck!
So looking forward to photographing some Kent families in the lavender this year!
