Sarah Hart Photography offers baby photography for any age baby at her Tonbridge garden studio in Kent. These are the cutest sessions and will capture all the fun character of your baby. Missed the newborn stage of photography? Or looking to fully document your baby’s first year? You can book in a Baby Milestone Session at any point during your baby’s first year.
Whilst my baby photography can be for any age, I do recommend waiting for your baby to be at least 4 months. From 4 months, your baby will have enough neck strength for us to capture some shots of them on their tummy, as well as lying on their backs. An even better stage to capture is when your baby is just able to sit unaided for short periods of time, usually around 6-8 months old. This then offers us so much more scope for a really varied and fun selection of images in your gallery.
Cost of a Baby Photoshoot
A mid-week baby milestone session costs £40 (weekend sessions cost £65) and lasts approximately an hour. You have full use of all the studio props I have on offer to use, including little benches, crates and baskets. In addition, there’s also a large selection of backdrops to choose from. No digital images are included in the session fee. Within a few weeks of your baby’s photoshoot, you will be sent a link to an online gallery to purchase from one of three digital image packages.

What to Expect at a Baby Photoshoot
At these gorgeous sessions, we aim to capture all your baby’s delightful (and sometimes hilarious!) expressions, their baby rolls and some of their current tricks (smiling, clapping, sitting, first steps etc). There’s usually time for several outfit changes for your baby so I recommend bringing a selection of outfits for them. And of course, parents and siblings are also welcome at the baby milestone sessions – I will encourage you to have some family images with your baby. Many clients choose to book a cake smash session for their baby’s first birthday. However, cake smash photoshoots are not everyone’s cup of tea. So instead, quite a lot of clients book a Baby Milestone Session to celebrate this special milestone.
It’s preferable for you to book your baby’s milestone session at a time that works around your little one’s nap time. If your little one has had a good sleep, they’re more likely to be happy at the session for me to capture their smiles. Also, consider feeding times – a hungry baby is often pretty grumpy!
